Nobody Girl: Day 19

A picture of a letter

My name is Kendra... I've always liked my name and the letter K. This one seemed to catch my eye ;)

I've Got a Feeling: Day 17

A picture of something that has made a huge impact on your life recently

"Thank you for calling Ulta, your beauty destination, this is Kendra, how may I help you"

Never did I think my cosmetology license could turn into a career. And never did I think success and appreciation would feel so good. I guess that's why you never say never :) I started working for Ulta in July 2010 and ever since then my business has been growing. I love the staff I work with, never have I worked in such a positive work environment. I also work with a very talented staff, I can actually say I love my job. I can't wait to see what the future holds!

Hellogoodbye: Day 18

A picture of your biggest insecurity

Now this isn't a blog about dating. That's definitely not on my list of insecurities, it's the last thing on my list of things to do. This is about awkward conversation. Awkward conversation? As a cosmetologist I should be a people person right? Right! I find that in my job I can talk to anyone but outside of work, I have trouble functioning. Weird... I have no game. I'm incredibly shy. It's something I'm trying to work on, we'll see how that goes...

But the Sun is Eclipsed by the Moon: Day 15

A picture of something you'd like to do before you die

My awesome friend who I steal everything from showed this to me the other day. I actually hate running, it's never really been my thing, but I would love to do a marathon before I die.  I feel that since I hate running, it would be an even bigger challenge for me. Particularly in the next year or two. This one is held in Australia and you run it while the eclipse is happening. Wouldn't that be awesome? uh yeah! Hopefully I can accomplish this goal and start my training!

The Heart of Life: Day 14

A picture of a person you couldn't picture your life without

It couldn't be just one person, the people I couldn't imagine my life without would be my family, in particular my mom and dad (Felisha I have another blog for you)We didn't always get along when I was growing up, but a lot of that has changed. Looking back, I know all they wanted was the best for me, even though I probably didn't believe them at the time. It's crazy how time changes your perspective. They've given me everything and taught me so much. I'm proud of them for what they have accomplished and having been married 27 years in September. I'm not that great at expressing my feelings, but mom and dad, I love you with all my heart and I thank you for everything you've given me. I turned out okay and I am the strong person and successful person because you pushed me to be the best. You pushed me when I needed to be pushed, even if I didn't want to be. You believed in me and gave me everything, I love you both, with all my heart.

Ramble On: Day 13

A picture of your favorite band/artist

"Then it was, then again it will be, although the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea"

Led Zeppelin. What a band. The lyrics are amazing and tell a story or relay a message. It's so raw in a good way. Some of my favorite songs are 10 Years Gone, Ramble On, That's The Way, and When the Levee Breaks. I even have a Zeppelin tattoo :) There is a song for every mood I'm in. Even though it's classic rock and there will probably be no more albums from them, it still never gets old to me. I love it.

Since I'm completely crazy about music I'm going to list a couple other bands/artists: Ryan Adams, Tom Petty, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Frank Sinatra, Jenny Lewis, and many many more.

Tiny Dancer: Day 12

A picture of something you absolutely love

"Dance is the hidden language of the soul." - Martha Graham
I absolutly love dance. It was a part of my world for 15 years, and an amazing 15 years it was. I did everything from tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, modern, lyrical, hip hop, and everything else in between. I really do miss it, but if your lucky you'll catch me busting a move every once in a while ;)

Dance gives me an even greater feeling than music. Music gives you this great indescribable feeling, and dance is a way to express that. It's creative, and so so beautiful. Out of everything I miss from my youth, it's dance. Hopefully one day I can find my way back to it.
